Do a google search on electrical wiring? Each result of interest is a new tab. If I begin researching say wood flooring for my home that's a separate page or two filled with tabs. Then there's the other pages that vary wildly. Sadly Chrome sux for ESX so I have some damned IE windows open for consoles and monitoring. #Firefox tab suspender full#A second page full of tabs reaches to internal pages for various software setup for my home and HTPC type stuff - Plex, PlexPy, Webmin, my NAS, SAB, and a bunch of others to handle a few VMs. This set includes pages to each of my web email accounts too. I have a main set of tabs for news sites - Slashdot is one of them, CNN, BBC, Drudge, whatever I feel like monitoring - stocks for instance. In the result, the person found that Firefox startup time has gotten worse over time. Test scenario: I took my 1691 tab browser profile, and did a wall-clock measurement of start-up time and memory use for Firefox versions 20, 30, 40, and 50 through 56. While the major work has landed, the work continues in Bug 906076. A lot of the improvement in this particular scenario is from Kevin Jones' work on bringing the overall cost of unloaded tabs as close to zero as possible. Part of this effort is a project called Quantum Flow - a bunch of engineers making changes that directly impact Firefox responsiveness. And I've been at Mozilla for more than a decade. well, since I've been working on Firefox. Right now, more effort is being put into making Firefox fast than I've seen since. And then, quite recently, everything changed. I got used to multi-minute startup time, waiting 15-30 seconds for tabs from external apps to show up, and all manner of non-responsive behavior. As you would expect, Firefox handled this profile quite poorly for a long time. An anonymous reader shares a blog post: I've got a Firefox profile with 1691 tabs.

And this, of course, makes you further doubt the alleged source’s claim that various journalists are in Media Matters’ pocket. I’m pretty sure Media Matters didn’t want Ben Smith to write a story linking Media Matters to anti-Semitism. It does apparently have a source claiming that Ben Smith will write whatever Media Matters wants him to write. Now, it’s a good story if the Daily Caller can show that Media Matters got reporters to publish stories that weren’t true, or were slanted to its perspective. (I have no memory of ever communicating with anybody from Media Matters, but it’s possible I have. Obtaining information from biased sources is an activity known in the journalism profession as “reporting.” The job of a journalist is to process the information and to decide if it checks out, if it’s worth publishing, if it means what the source says it means, and so on. Staffers at Media Matters “knew they could dump stuff to Ben Smith, they knew they could dump it at Plum Line, so that’s where they sent it.” “Ben Smith will take stories and write what you want him to write,” explained the former employee, whose account was confirmed by other sources. Brian Stelter at the New York Times was helpful.” We’ve pushed stories to Eugene Robinson and E.J. “So did Joe Garofoli at the San Francisco Chronicle. “Jim Rainey at the LA Times took a lot of our stuff,” the staffer continued. “The people at Huffington Post were always eager to cooperate, which is no surprise given David’s long history with Arianna. “The HuffPo guys were good, Sam Stein and Nico ,” remembered one former staffer. Reached by phone, Sargent declined to comment. “If you can’t get it anywhere else, Greg Sargent’s always game,” agreed another source with firsthand knowledge. Greg Sargent will write anything you give him. “The entire progressive blogosphere picked up our stuff,” says a Media Matters source, “from Daily Kos to Salon. The most putatively explosive portion of the story is that the mainstream media are somehow Media Matters’ lapdogs. It’s generally best not to take any published claims in the Daily Caller at face value, though. The story has some juicy dirt on David Brock, the former right-wing pseudo-journalist turned apostate who runs Media Matters, suggesting that Brock suffers from strange delusions and paranoia about his own security (ironically, like his bête noire Roger Ailes.) There’s a good chance that particular part of the story could fall into the portion of the Venn diagram where the “stuff printed in the Daily Caller” circle and the “stuff that’s true” circle overlap. The Daily Caller, Tucker Carlson’s publication, has a new story on the liberal media watchdog group Media Matters. Don’t feel obliged to restart them, either. Despite a record number of nominees from underrepresented communities, all major acting trophies went to white actors. "Do not be afraid to disappear, from it, from us, for a while, and see what comes to you in the silence."Īfter thanking several HBO and BBC executives, she dedicated her story and award to all survivors of sexual assault.Ĭoel's historic win stands out as a rare exception of the evening. "In a world that entices us to browse through the lives of others to help us better determine how we feel about ourselves, and to, in turn, feel the need to be constantly visible, for visibility these days seems to somehow equate to success. "Write the tale that scares you, that makes you feel uncertain, that is uncomfortable. In her acceptance speech at the Emmy awards ceremony, Coel offered a few words to fellow writers: "I May Destroy You" premiered in June 2020 to favorable reviews for its exploration of a young Black woman rebuilding her life, career and relationships after a sexual assault. #I MAY DESTROY YOU NOMINATIONS FULL#She received an email the next day saying she would have everything she negotiated for: a seat at the table on production, full creative control and the rights to the work. By fall 2017, she pitched "I May Destroy You" to a producer with the BBC. agency when she learned they were pushing her toward the deal and would earn an undisclosed amount from the partnership. This is crazy."Ĭoel ultimately fired her U.S. It was a clarifying moment for Coel, she told Vulture: "I remember thinking, 'I've been going down rabbit holes in my head, like people thinking I'm paranoid, I'm acting sketchy, I'm killing off all my agents.' Then she said those words to me, and I finally realized - I'm not crazy. Before the executive ended the call to run the numbers up the chain, she told Coel: "Michaela? I just want you to know I'm really proud of you. But as Coel was pitching what would become her award-winning show back in 2017, she originally turned down a $1 million deal to make the show with Netflix, according to a July 2020 profile with Vulture.Ĭoel already had a relationship with Netflix at the time - the streamer introduced her first big project, "Chewing Gum," to the U.S., and she later appeared in an Emmy-winning episode of "Black Mirror." But despite the enticing $1 million deal, Coel turned down the offer when she was denied the ability to retain any percentage of the copyright to her work.Īccording to Vulture, during one phone call with a high-level Netflix executive, Coel tried to negotiate to retain 5% of her rights, which got cut down to 2%, then 1%, and ultimately 0.5%. Coyote poop images how to#How to ID Coyote Scat Coyote Scat With SeedsĬoyote scat can often have seeds in it in the summer and fall months. I wonder if it is eating cats in the neighborhood. I found out that it is full of long white hair and short black ones. I found a piece and tried to see what hair is in the scat. I think the scat got hit by the lawnmower a few times so there is not much left. Just use commons sense and contact a professional with any questions you may have.Īn old piece of Coyote or Fox Scat in my yard. Trappers, hunters, veterinarians come in contact with wildlife and survive the encounters and you probably will too. Using gloves and a shovel to remove coyote scat should be sufficient to keep you from not getting parasites and diseases from having most issues. Also, be aware your pets can contract some of these and should be treated according to veterinarian guidelines. These dogs may carry diseases or parasites on their fur in the poop. Pets can carry some of these diseases such as dogs that like to roll in unfamiliar smells like coyote poop. Your dog or other pets may carry the diseases if they come in contact with coyote feces and give it to you. The people most likely to come in contact with the diseases coyotes have in their poop are trappers, hunters, and veterinarians. Don’t spend a ton of time messing with coyote poop and touching it and you should be fine. The first thing to know is you don’t need to freak out about these diseases and parasites. Recent studies on deforested lands have shown that land use has long-term effects on soil microbiota structure and diversity. Understanding how agricultural practices impact the soil microbiota is an important subject towards a more sustainable agriculture. Large-scale studies have shown that a large fraction of fungal taxa found in soils is not represented in sequence databases, that the diversity of soil fungal communities is influenced by a variety of climatic and edaphic factors, and that soil fungal communities exhibit evident patterns of geographical clustering. Besides bacteria, fungi are the other major component of the soil microbiota, playing crucial roles both as saprotrophs, plant mutualists, and pathogens and competing with bacteria for access to nutrients through the production of antimicrobial compounds. Bacterial communities are characterized by pronounced heterogeneity at small spatial scales, and by a more homogeneous structure over large spatial scales, showing biogeographical patterns that are significantly weaker than what is found for plants. Large-scale surveys have shown that the diversity encompassed by soil microbial communities exceeds what is found in host-associated communities, probably as a consequence of the enormous range of environmental conditions that can be experienced by microorganisms in surface soils. īacteria, archaea, and fungi are the dominant components of soil microbiota, generally accounting for more than 99% of the microbial biomass in soil samples. Soil serves as a primary reservoir for plant-colonizing bacteria, that play a major role in determining plant productivity and preventing invasion by bacterial pathogens. The biodiversity of soil microbial communities is increasingly recognized as a major factor for human health both directly, by limiting the spread of potential pathogens, and indirectly, by contributing to processes that provide clean air, water, and healthy food. The microorganisms that colonize soil are amongst the most abundant and diverse life forms on Earth, contributing to all geochemical processes on a global scale, and constituting a rich source of yet uncharacterized natural products of potential interest for pharmaceutical or biotechnological applications. Our results highlight the different responses of bacterial and fungal communities to environmental factors and highlight the need to characterize both components of the soil microbiota to fully understand the factors that drive their variability. We identified several taxa that were impacted by the chemical properties and texture of the soil. The diversity of bacterial and fungal communities was generally inversely correlated across locations. Cultivation altered the structure and composition of the soil microbiota both for bacteria and fungi, with site-specific effects on their diversity. The core fungal microbiota was much smaller and dominated by geography alone. Resultsīacterial communities had a core of conserved taxa accounting for more than 60% of the reads of each sample, that was influenced both by geography and cultivation. Using 16S rRNA gene and ITS sequencing, we characterized the soil microbiota of vineyards and of neighboring permanent grassland soils in the Italian province of Trentino, and correlated their structure and composition to location, chemical properties of the soil, and land management. Despite their importance as a reservoir of biodiversity, the factors shaping soil microbial communities and the extent by which these are impacted by cultivation are still poorly understood. The monthly fee for using the card which you can not pay in advance at the time you are paying off your balance is charge on the first day of the billing cycle which is the very same day that they update your credit report. #Credit one login fullFor example if you pay off the full balance on your account hoping to see a zero balance on your credit file, you are wrong. I don’t think about it until it’s too late sometimes. This is the only bill I have not set up on auto pay and as a result have been late a few times because I don’t get any notifications and all my other bills are paid automatically. I really don’t like that there is no auto pay option. I got tired of paying $10 for every payment. But it’s nice and easy to make a payment. It should show like a bank account does: transaction -/+$xx, then resulting balance $xx. But I don’t like the way it lists the transactions. And if it wouldn’t negatively impact my score I would’ve cancelled it. These are why I don’t really use the card much. I just wish that as your score improved they would change other factors such as removing the annual fee and the fee to make a payment. But the interest rate did drop 10% over the last few years as my credit worthiness improved bringing it in line with my capital one card. I understand the risk involved on their side, so fees and high interest rates are necessary. I got this card 5 years ago to rebuild my credit after a charge off when no one else would give me credit, and for that I am forever grateful. If you can't make a payment on time or something goes wrong, communication is key. Use your card a little, pay it off each month, build up your score a little each month. I HIGHLY recommend Credit One.and being responsible to rebuild your credit. Yes, they're overseas-but polite and always willing to work with me if I need something, including waiving fees when there's a good reason. I monitor my account through the phone app, make payments there.and when I need to talk to a live rep I've never had an issue. I use them both and try to pay them both off each month, building my credit a little at a time-I didn't get bad credit overnight and there's no magic way to make bad credit go away overnight. Since then I've increased the limit on that card to $1,000 and gotten a second "platinum" card with them. They gave me my first unsecured card with a $500 limit when no one else would-everyone else wanted a secured account equal to my credit line. I've read reviews about poor customer service, lack of contact, etc.I've had nothing but a great experience! I've been a Credit One customer for a couple of years now and LOVE them.
